What Does 1 Peter 1:20 Mean?
Peter sets the cross inside eternity. Before the world was made, Christ was already appointed for this work; the redemption was no afterthought or rescue improvised when things went wrong.
Yet what was settled before time appeared in time, manifest in these last days for the sake of these very readers. The plan as old as eternity reaches its open showing in their own moment. Peter wants the scattered church to feel personally addressed: the Lamb foreknown before creation was revealed for you, here, now.
