Learn of Christ offers a free, chapter-by-chapter Bible study guide for every book of Scripture - the 39 books of the Old Testament, the 27 of the New, and the deuterocanonical books between them. Each guide walks through the chapter a section at a time: a short overview, the themes that hold it together, questions for reflection, and a Christ connection that shows how the chapter fits the larger story of the Bible.

Read at whatever depth you want. Every chapter offers three commentary levels - Quick, Standard, and Deep - and you can switch among eight English translations as you read, from the King James Version to modern ones. Prefer to just read? Open the full Bible, follow a guided reading plan, or trace a theme across all of Scripture.

Frequently asked questions

Are the Bible study guides free?

Yes. Every study guide on Learn of Christ is completely free, with no account, paywall, or subscription. You can read any chapter of any book whenever you like.

How are the study guides organized?

There is a guide for every chapter of every book. Each one moves through the chapter section by section with a short overview, the main themes, questions for reflection, and a Christ connection that shows how the chapter fits the larger story of Scripture.

Which Bible translation do the guides use?

The guides default to the King James Version, and you can switch among eight English translations as you read - including the Berean Standard, World English, and Douay-Rheims - without losing your place.

Can I choose how much commentary to read?

Yes. Every chapter offers three depths - Quick, Standard, and Deep - so you can read a brief summary or a fuller, verse-aware commentary depending on how much time you have.

Where should I start?

A good first stop is the Gospel of John, beginning with John 1. Genesis 1 and Psalm 23 are also gentle, rewarding places to begin reading and studying.
