<script src="https://learnofchrist.com/embed/verse-of-the-day.js" async></script>How it works
- 1.Drop the snippet into your page’s HTML, where custom embeds are allowed.
- 2.The widget loads today’s verse and renders a self-contained card, so it will not inherit or break your site styles.
- 3.It refreshes automatically each day. There is nothing to maintain.
Questions
- Is the Verse of the Day widget free?
- Yes. It is completely free to embed on any personal, church, ministry, or commercial website. There is no signup, no API key, and no usage limit.
- How do I add it to my website?
- Paste the one-line embed code anywhere in your page HTML. The script renders a styled scripture card where you place the container. It works on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, plain HTML, and most site builders that allow custom HTML.
- Does it update automatically?
- Yes. The verse changes once a day, the same verse for every visitor, drawn from a curated set of the most-loved passages of scripture in the King James Version.
- Can I change the colors?
- The widget ships with a light theme and a dark theme. Add data-theme="dark" to the container element to switch. The card is self-contained, so it will not clash with your site styles.
