What Does 1 Timothy 4:10 Mean?
Paul explains why he and his companions toil and bear insult: they have set their hope on the living God. This hope makes hardship worth enduring.
He calls God 'the Saviour of all men,' whose saving care reaches toward everyone, and 'specially of those that believe,' fully known by those who trust him. God's goodness extends to all; those who believe enter into its fullness.
