What Does Habakkuk 2:2 Mean?
The Lord responds to the waiting watchman. He commands that the coming vision be written down — made plain and legible on tablets — so that a reader can take it in at a glance and run with it. The message is meant to be preserved, public, and clear.
Two things stand out. First, God does answer; the patient watching of verse one is rewarded. Second, the answer is to be shared, not hoarded — written so plainly that it can be passed on without delay. God's word is given not only to comfort one heart but to be carried to many. When the Lord speaks into our waiting, He often entrusts us with something to record and relay, that others too might run by the light of what He has revealed.
