What Does Micah 3:7 Mean?
The exposure is complete. The seers stand ashamed and the diviners confounded; they cover their lips, the gesture of mourning and silence, because there is no answer of God. The performance is over and the emptiness laid bare.
When the props of pretense are removed, only honesty remains. These men are silenced not by an enemy but by the absence they themselves invited. The verse is a quiet call to authenticity before God, for in the end every false confidence is stripped away, and only those who truly walk with Him have anything left to say.
