First Baptist Church of Elba starts Sunday Bible classes at 9:00 a.m., followed by morning worship at 10:00 and evening worship at 5:00 p.m. Classes are graded from nursery through adult, with separate space for children, youth, teens and young adults, and other adult groups. The morning music blends traditional hymns with contemporary selections and is supported by an adult choir, giving the service a wider range than either a strictly traditional or praise-band-only label would suggest.

Wednesday Bible study begins at 6:00 p.m., and choir rehearsal follows at 7:00. Men from youth age upward also meet Saturdays at 7:00 a.m. for prayer and fellowship, while women's ministry connects study with practical opportunities in church and community. FBC Elba's outreach addresses both spiritual and physical needs through local projects, limited bill assistance, FCA, Fathers in the Field, a multi-church food bank, and missionaries in Hungary and Belize. Its Belize partnership has also sent short-term teams. Visitors will find a full small-town Baptist rhythm: all-age education before worship, two Sunday services, midweek study, choir, and mission partnerships close to home and overseas.
