Christ the Lord Lutheran Church

About this church

Christ the Lord Lutheran Church is an ELCA congregation in Carefree whose mission follows Jesus’ example of unconditional love toward one another, vulnerable neighbors, and all people. Its regular Sunday gathering is a traditional Lutheran service centered on Word and Holy Communion, with online worship available for people away from Arizona. Prayer, visitation, Bible study, daily devotions, music ministry, and service opportunities connect the congregation’s worship with care and discipleship during the week.

Sunday worship begins at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time in the sanctuary and by livestream, with every worshiper welcome to share Holy Communion. The recording remains available after the live service. Holy Week and other festivals use separate schedules: for example, the events page has listed two Easter services rather than the ordinary 9:00 hour, plus specific Maundy Thursday and Good Friday liturgies. Visitors should therefore use the regular time for an ordinary Sunday but check the event calendar before a major feast. The plan-a-visit page provides current arrival information for the Cave Creek Road campus.
