Dove of the Desert United Methodist Church

About this church

Dove of the Desert United Methodist Church is a Glendale congregation offering classic and contemporary worship, children and youth formation, music, care groups, service, and volunteer ministries. Each service includes prayer, music, Scripture, and preaching. Communion is shared on the first Sunday of the month and is open to all believers, reflecting the United Methodist invitation rather than a members-only table.

Sunday classic worship begins at 8:00 and 11:00 a.m.; contemporary worship begins at 9:30. The 9:30 and 11:00 services stream online. Nursery care for infants through age three is available at 9:30 and 11:00, while a cry room remains available during all three services. Children in prekindergarten through fifth grade attend Sunday School from 9:30 to 10:30. From August through May, grades six through twelve have Sunday School at 9:30 and Youth Fellowship from 10:30 to noon. Clothing may be dressy or comfortable. Families needing nursery care should choose the middle or late service, while visitors wanting the adult choir’s traditional music should select 11:00; the 8:00 classic service uses smaller musical groups.
