Church of the Master PC(USA)

About this church

Church of the Master PC(USA) worships at 9 a.m. Sunday at 6659 East University Drive in Mesa. Jesus is the stated center of its singing, prayer, and preaching, and greeters and ushers help older adults and people with disabilities reach their seats. Chancel volunteers prepare Communion-table linens, candles, banners, the baptismal font, and seasonal décor, while voice and handbell choirs contribute to Sunday services. The congregation presents itself as multicultural and multigenerational, welcoming people without requiring them to arrive with a polished religious life.

Four ministry pillars organize participation: discipleship, fellowship, partnership, and worship. Adult small groups have included men's breakfast study and online Bible discussions, while the Christian Assistance Network provides monthly food boxes, annual utility help, and counseling related to finances, health, spiritual needs, and public aid. Sunday coffee fellowship from 10 to 11 regularly creates a post-worship place for members and visitors to meet. Other gatherings have combined meals with Lent, Easter, Reformation, fall, and Christmas observances. The congregation's published ministry pages contain some older program examples, so exact weekday activities should be confirmed with the office. Visitors can start with the current 9 o'clock worship time, stay for coffee, and then ask which study, pantry, music, or service opportunity is active now.
