First Baptist Church Monticello

About this church

First Baptist Church Monticello begins Sunday Life Groups at 9 a.m. and worship at 10. A typical service lasts about 75 minutes, blending contemporary and traditional music through the Worship Team and choir. Childcare for preschoolers and younger children is available during both Life Groups and worship, with greeters directing families. Age-based Sunday groups range from babies and preschool through elementary, students, and adults. Children in kindergarten through fifth grade and students in grades six through twelve have their own upstairs ministry spaces.

Wednesday activities begin at 6 p.m. FirstKids combines music, movement, large- and small-group Bible study, and gym games for kindergarten through fifth grade. FirstStudents meets from 6 to 7:15 with games, singing, teaching, and small groups, supported by student leadership and worship teams. Adults can join Bible studies, Worship Choir, and other midweek programs; choir practice begins at 6 and welcomes willing learners, not only experienced performers. Mission partnerships include Arkansas Baptist Homes for Children, the University of Arkansas at Monticello Baptist Collegiate Ministry, local projects, and international teams. Families should arrive early enough for upstairs check-in and classroom directions.
