First Baptist Church

About this church

First Baptist Church in Paragould is a historic Baptist congregation whose official history dates its organization to 1885. Its current home page lists Sunday school at 9:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:15 a.m., and an evening service at 6 p.m. A separate worship page still displays a 9 a.m. Sunday-school time, so people planning to attend a class should verify that detail with the church; the 10:15 morning worship time appears consistently. The church identifies Scripture as the basis of its beliefs and subscribes to the Baptist Faith and Message adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000.

The ministry mix is deliberately intergenerational. Adults can join Sunday school, prayer groups, and worship, while preschoolers, children, and students have age-aware instruction and activities. The children's program stresses Bible learning and personal care, and Wednesday programming includes elementary-age gatherings. Music also has a visible place in congregational life. For newcomers seeking a Baptist church in Paragould, this profile suggests a traditional schedule with both morning and evening worship, structured Christian education, and ministries spanning young children through senior adults. Confirm class times before a first visit because the official pages are not fully aligned.
