The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Barstow

About this church

A meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands at 2571 Barstow Rd in Barstow, California. The nearest other one is about 20.3 miles away, in Newberry Springs, and the entrance, parking lot, restrooms and seating are all wheelchair accessible.

The Barstow Ward meets Sundays at 10 a.m., an hour of hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members of the congregation, followed by a second hour of classes that includes Primary for children. Attending the Barstow Ward costs nothing, and no plate goes around asking for money; dressing up is common among regulars, but it isn't expected of a newcomer. Besides the chapel, this Barstow meetinghouse has classrooms and a cultural hall used for sports and gatherings. Because these times are set locally in Barstow and can move, a short call before a first visit is worth the effort.
