The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Coalinga

About this church

In Coalinga, California, this meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 404 W Polk Street is the only one the directory lists for the city, with the nearest other building in Kerman, over 44 miles away. The entrance, the parking lot, the restroom and the seating are all wheelchair accessible.

The Coalinga Ward meets Sundays at 10 a.m. for a sacrament meeting that lasts about an hour, with hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks given by congregation members, followed by a second hour of classes that includes Primary for children. Attendance costs nothing and no collection plate is passed. Meetinghouses like this one usually include a chapel, classrooms and a cultural hall used for other events. Given how far the next building is, and since local schedules can shift from year to year, a quick call ahead of a first visit is worth the effort.
