About this church
Calvary Chapel El Monte meets Sundays at 9 and 11 a.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m. The 9 a.m. service includes nursery and children's ministry; at 11, those programs are joined by youth ministry through high school. Wednesday offers nursery, children's classes, and a junior-high ministry alongside the midweek study. The church's separate children page confirms Bible-focused classes during both Sunday services and the Wednesday gathering, with seasonal AWANA and Vacation Bible School offered at other times. Families can therefore choose either morning, but older students have the broadest Sunday provision at 11.
The congregation identifies as a nondenominational Christian church with a three-part aim: exalt God, edify the church, and evangelize the world. It describes the church as a hospital for sinners rather than a museum for saints and places verse-by-verse biblical teaching at the center of ministry. Its beliefs address Scripture, God, Christ, salvation, the Holy Spirit, the church, baptism, Communion, and Christian life. Ministry opportunities range from children, youth, marriage, and homeschooling to missions, livestreaming, practical help, and evangelism. Marriage fellowships follow dated monthly announcements rather than a permanent hour. A first-time adult can select 9 or 11 a.m.; parents should match children's and youth needs to the published service details. Wednesday visitors can expect a teaching-centered gathering, but should check seasonal changes before relying on a specialized program such as AWANA.
