Christ Cathedral

About this church

Christ Cathedral serves an exceptionally multilingual Catholic community in Garden Grove. Saturday vigils are celebrated at 4:30 p.m. in English and 6:30 in Vietnamese. Sunday Masses begin at 6:30 a.m. and continue through 7:30 p.m., with liturgies in Vietnamese, Spanish, English, and Chinese; the 10:00 English and noon Spanish Masses are livestreamed. A 10:30 Chinese Mass meets in St. Callistus Chapel.

The campus combines parish worship with sacred art, architecture, the Hazel Wright Organ, cultural events, faith formation, and Diocese of Orange ministries. Community outreach includes a Thursday food distribution center. Visitors should park in lots P5 or P7 and use the campus map, since the cathedral complex is much larger than a typical parish site. The official parish address is 13280 Chapman Avenue, correcting an older Lewis Street address in the directory. Language, building, and livestream labels matter when selecting from the extensive schedule; consult the Mass page rather than assuming every liturgy occurs in the main cathedral.
