St. Mark's Lutheran Church

About this church

St. Mark’s Lutheran Church is an ELCA congregation in Hacienda Heights with worship, Christian formation, music, youth fellowship, outreach, and an affiliated preschool and kindergarten-through-eighth-grade school. Founded in 1962, it welcomes people into worship, study, fellowship, and service. Children begin Sunday in the sanctuary and then move into an age-appropriate lesson, keeping them connected to both congregational worship and classroom formation.

Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. in person and by livestream on the church site, Facebook, and YouTube; a recording remains available. Sunday School for children ages three through eleven runs from approximately 10:15 to 11:00 after the children’s sermon. Children and youth age five and older may rehearse music after worship at 11:15 for periodic choir and ensemble participation. Junior-high youth group is published for every other Friday from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., plus monthly special events; because its page retains an old September start date, families should confirm the active Fridays. Wednesday Lenten services begin at 6:00 p.m. during Lent and should not be treated as year-round worship. The mission pages connect Lutheran faith with welcome and community service, while the visitor information helps newcomers plan the principal Sunday gathering.
