Orangeburg Avenue Baptist Church

About this church

Orangeburg Avenue Baptist Church in Modesto worships Sundays at 10:45 a.m., with the service ordinarily ending by 12:15 p.m. The congregation gathers to sing, pray, study Scripture, and respond in worship. Music integrates contemporary and traditional songs before a pastor walks through a Bible passage, giving visitors a blended style within one service rather than separate musical hours.

Nursery care is available for children age three and younger, and the church provides Christ-centered ministries across ages zero through eighteen. The congregation is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention but explicitly welcomes visitors from any background. A first-time family should arrive before 10:45 for nursery or children’s directions and plan for a service of roughly ninety minutes. Guests can also watch live online before attending. Parents should confirm current age-group meeting details, while people comparing doctrine can review the beliefs page. Special programs may affect the usual finish time, so the live Sunday announcement remains the best source immediately before travel.
