Light on the Corner Church

About this church

Light on the Corner Church in Montrose, California, meets on Waltonia Drive for Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. Adult Sunday School starts earlier, at 9:30 a.m., and children have their own Sunday School class during the sermon. The congregation calls itself a small church with big plans and sums up its approach in four words: biblical, relevant, authentic and gracious. Preaching centers on Jesus Christ and the resurrection, and past sermons are posted on the church website and YouTube channel. Service times can change, so confirm them on the website before visiting.

Discipleship classes include a membership class for newcomers, an eight-week course on core Christian beliefs, and a class on putting biblical teaching into practice. During the week, a pastor's prayer group meets Tuesday mornings and a book club meets Tuesday evenings. Monthly gatherings include a lunch-and-prayer time at a local Montrose restaurant on the last Tuesday of the month, a men's ministry meeting on the last Friday evening, and outings for a seniors and widows group. The church invites first-time guests to let it know they are coming through the contact page, and questions can also be sent by phone or email.
