Redemption Church is an Assemblies of God congregation in Ojai’s Meiners Oaks neighborhood that grew from a home Bible study begun by two women seeking a deeper life with Christ and the Holy Spirit. After affiliation, rented meeting places, and several pastors, the congregation built at its present location. Today its mission is to bring the hope of Jesus to the Ojai Valley through Spirit-filled worship, children, youth, discipleship, and community.

Sunday services begin at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., with Spanish-language worship at 1:00 p.m. Services last about eighty minutes and include music, projected lyrics, a Bible-centered message, coffee, and conversation afterward. Redemption Kids operates only during the 10:30 service, not at 8:30; volunteers are background-checked, and the program combines Bible learning, spiritual gifts, relationships, and play. Middle- and high-school students gather Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Food, games, and conversation begin on the back patio at 6:30; worship, teaching, and small groups move inside at 7:00.
