First Church of the Nazarene

About this church

First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena, widely known as PazNaz, is a Church of the Nazarene congregation with more than a century of worship and service in Pasadena. Rooted in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, it describes its calling as loving people into God’s kingdom through worship, discipleship, mission, outreach, and compassionate care. The campus is also home to Armenian, Cantonese, Korean, Spanish-English, and Mandarin communities. These are not generic translations of one service; each ministry forms community through worship, Scripture, prayer, fellowship, and culturally specific outreach.

The main PazNaz service begins Sundays at 9:30 a.m. at 3700 East Sierra Madre Boulevard and streams live. Korean worship starts at 8:30, La Fuente’s bilingual service at 10:30, Cantonese and Mandarin worship at 11:00, and Armenian Christian Outreach at 5:00 p.m. The Cantonese and Armenian communities meet in Lee Chapel; visitors to other language ministries should confirm their campus room before arrival. Mandarin adult Sunday School begins at 10:00. Because PazNaz hosts several congregations on one campus, guests should select the language community and time they intend to attend rather than relying only on the main 9:30 schedule.
