First Baptist Church Paso Robles

About this church

First Baptist Church Paso Robles worships at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday at 1645 Park Street. Each service runs about 75 minutes with music, family announcements and greeting, prayer, and biblical teaching. Dress ranges from cowboy boots and casual clothes to suits. Nursery and child care are available at both hours, and children attend their own church program during the teaching portion. Although Sunday attendance is typically 300 to 400, two services help preserve a smaller-church feel.

The congregation describes itself as people who love God and one another and serve the church, Paso Robles, and the world. Children's programs welcome infants through fifth grade at both service hours and partner with parents in spiritual growth. Men's accountability groups support members in bearing one another's burdens, while women's fellowship groups meet around varied topics. Music includes vocalists, instrumentalists, and a choir that rehearses Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 and sings regularly in worship. Global mission partners serve in places including Bangladesh, Germany, Ethiopia, and Papua New Guinea. For a first visit, either Sunday service provides the same core format and full child care, making the choice mostly a matter of schedule.
