First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill

About this church

First Christian Church of Pleasant Hill worships Sunday at 10 a.m. in person and through a live online service. The congregation describes itself as an independent Restoration Movement church that loves God and people. Its simple public belief summary centers on Jesus as God's Son and Savior, the Holy Spirit, the truth and authority of the Bible, grace, service, and Christ's return. Previous messages are posted online, allowing a first-time visitor to sample the church's current teaching before coming to Pleasant Hill Road.

The church has served God and the local community for more than seventy years. Its Restoration Movement heritage seeks Christian unity through New Testament teaching and practice, including adult believer's baptism by immersion and weekly Communion. Leadership combines pastoral, elder, youth, teaching, and camp experience. Outreach extends beyond the Bay Area through long-term support for Tijuana Christian Mission, work with an orphanage serving about seventy children, and a Northern California camp ministry offering youth, adult, family, fishing, and work camps. Trail Life scouting and children's camp leadership add local routes for family involvement. The public pages do not give a detailed nursery, Sunday School, or youth timetable, so households should use the church contact information to ask about current age-level arrangements.
