St Gabriel Catholic Church of Poway

About this church

St. Gabriel Catholic Church of Poway celebrates a Saturday vigil Mass at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday Masses at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. in Spanish, and 5:00 p.m. Weekday Masses are spread across morning, midday, and evening hours, while Reconciliation is offered Wednesday 5:00–5:30 p.m. and Saturday 3:45–4:45 p.m. This range gives both English- and Spanish-speaking households several practical choices.

The parish describes its mission through liturgy and sacraments, Christian education, evangelizing outreach, and Christian charity. High-school youth ministry includes faith formation and preparation for Baptism, First Communion, or First Reconciliation when needed, while pro-life outreach combines prayer, education, and community engagement. A first-time visitor should choose the language and hour carefully, arrive early for parking and seating, and consult the current bulletin for Holy Day changes. Families seeking sacramental preparation should contact youth ministry rather than assuming it begins automatically during Sunday Mass, and anyone planning confession should arrive within the shorter published window.
