United Methodist Church of Rancho Cordova

About this church

United Methodist Church of Rancho Cordova worships Sundays at 10 a.m. Printed programs and projected text help guests follow the service. Children begin with adults in the chapel, then may leave after the children's message for a lesson, activity, and prayer in Adams Hall. Nursery care is available throughout the morning for ages five and younger. The church follows Safe Sanctuaries practices, and volunteers working with children receive fingerprinting and federal and local background checks. The visitor page candidly notes that the campus is not as wheelchair accessible as the congregation would like, so anyone needing a particular route should call ahead.

The church's local mission is to love God and make that love visible through joyful, collaborative service to neighbors. It welcomes people regardless of race, ethnicity, ability, religious background, economic status, gender identity, family structure, or sexual orientation. Beyond Sunday, a Zoom Bible study, short-term Wednesday learning and fellowship, a first-Wednesday women's gathering, and a third-Saturday men's breakfast create smaller points of connection. Children older than six join the Adams Hall program; households bringing a large group are asked to notify the church so staffing can be increased. Visitors should also expect an offering plate, though attendance does not depend on contributing.
