First United Methodist Church

About this church

First United Methodist Church of Redondo Beach offers in-person worship at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. each Sunday, with the 10:00 service also livestreamed. The congregation’s BeachFaith identity places Methodist worship in a South Bay setting and gives people who are exploring the church an online option before visiting the sanctuary on Broadway. Its worship life includes preaching, prayer, music, Communion, and visual elements created with congregational participation, reflecting the Methodist idea that liturgy is the work of the people.

Children and family ministry, missions, and other congregational programs create ways to participate beyond the two Sunday services. The separate early and later times can serve different household schedules, while livestreaming makes the later service accessible when travel or health prevents attendance. Prospective visitors should review the current worship page and staff information for children’s arrangements, since family-program details and seasonal activities can vary. Holiday weekends may consolidate or add services, so confirm the homepage announcement before making a first trip to the Redondo Beach campus.
