Reseda Church of Christ

About this church

Reseda Church of Christ describes Sunday worship through relevant teaching, heartfelt praise, prayer, honest relationships, and compassionate care. Prospective visitors can watch full Sunday replays and music from the church’s song leaders, praise teams, and Mass Choir, or join the Sunday assembly through Zoom. The official site also documents Unity Worship, which brings congregations from across the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County together, and publishes recordings from the Reseda Mass Choir’s community concerts. Weekly small-group meetings are listed from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.; first-time guests should ask the church for the current Sunday start time.

Reseda began in a family home on June 19, 1959, with five members and moved to its current multiethnic San Fernando Valley setting in 1998. Its community work is extensive and specific. In partnership with Valley Food Bank, volunteers distribute food each week to more than 400 residents. Senior-focused programs provide computers, technical help, hybrid Life Groups, knitting and crochet fellowship, and connections with residential-care facilities. The church summarizes this work with “L.I.F.E.”—love expressed through service, inspired development, family enrichment, and empowerment. That combination of recorded worship, cross-congregational music, small groups, and high-volume neighborhood service gives Reseda a distinctive profile beyond its Sunday gathering.
