Bethel Baptist Church is a historically Black Baptist congregation in San Diego founded in 1921 by ten Christians who first organized a mission in homes and then under a rented tent. Its present vision is to minister to families, the church, the community, and the world by reaching, teaching, and training believers. Bethel’s Hundredfold teaching courses draw on Jesus’ parables in Matthew and Mark, while its School of World Missions prepares short-term missionaries and teams. The church reports ministry in more than sixty nations and also emphasizes preparing young people and young adults for Christian leadership.

Sunday School begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by worship at 10:00 at 1962 Euclid Avenue and through the church’s online channels. A Monday “Moment of Inspiration” streams at 6:00 p.m. Prayer meets online Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. The public site retains some older sermon archives and program-theme language, so the current weekly times are more reliable than dated event titles for planning a visit.
