Covenant Presbyterian Church

About this church

Covenant Presbyterian Church begins its Sunday gathering at 10 a.m. at 2350 Leigh Avenue in San Jose. The service aims to combine joy and reverence, using traditional hymns, contemporary Christian songs, responsive readings, and ancient creeds. Clothing ranges from suits and dresses to jeans and casual shirts, so visitors need not adopt one expected style. The congregation's visitor material explains these details plainly, making the service accessible even for someone new to Presbyterian worship.

Growth Groups meet in homes around Silicon Valley for Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and relaxed conversation; new participants are welcome, and additional groups form as the church grows. Covenant also offers English-language classes built around practical life skills, with placement evaluation, prayer, and a brief Bible reading. Global mission is a stated priority, including long-term support for training, coaching, discipleship, and church leadership in the Middle East, North Africa, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere. A first-time guest can start with Sunday worship, then choose a home group for closer relationships or an ESL class for both language learning and community. The official Bible-reading schedule and Wednesday prayer notices provide tools for participating beyond one weekly service.
