St. Paul's Episcopal and Emmanuel Lutheran Church

About this church

St. Paul's Episcopal and Emmanuel Lutheran Church brings two liturgical traditions together in one Santa Paula congregation. Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. and draws from both Episcopal and Lutheran forms, with the shape of the service changing through the seasons of the church year. Published services include Scripture, music from the choir, a sermon, prayer, and Holy Communion. The result is a distinctive local option for visitors who value sacramental worship but do not want to choose between these two denominational heritages.

The congregation describes its welcome broadly, inviting anyone who would like to worship. A monthly healing prayer practice adds another contemplative dimension to parish life. People who want to preview a service from home can use the church's online broadcasts and sermon archive; the homepage says live broadcasting is moving to YouTube, while older material and service information may still point to Facebook. That transition makes the official website the best place to confirm the current viewing link. For an in-person visit, expect a seasonally shaped service at the historic-looking Seventh Street site rather than an interchangeable weekly program.
