Grace Covenant Church

About this church

Grace Covenant Church gathers in person and online at 10 a.m. Sunday at 740 Del Monte Avenue in South San Francisco. Worship includes praise, confession, lament, Scripture reading, and Bible teaching, and welcomes seekers, skeptics, and believers. Children stay with the congregation for the first twenty-five minutes of music, then kindergarten through fifth grade go to GraceKids and children age two and older to GraceKids Jr. A soundproof nursery and cry room remains available for infants and parents at the back of the sanctuary.

Grace Covenant is a multiethnic, multigenerational congregation in the Evangelical Covenant Church. It began as Winston Manor Covenant Church in Colma in 1954 and moved to Del Monte Avenue in 1959. Its three-part purpose is glorifying God, growing Christ-followers, and going into South San Francisco neighborhoods and beyond. A drive-through food distribution runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on the first Saturday each month. Vehicles must enter through the Alta Loma Middle School gate on Camaritas Avenue rather than using the church's ordinary Sunday approach, and the program does not accept outside food donations. The building also hosts community functions, while partnerships with local churches and the wider denomination extend its work beyond one congregation.
