Sunnyvale International Church, an Assemblies of God congregation at 521 East Weddell Drive, worships Sundays at 10 a.m. A contemporary band with guitars, keys, drums, and vocalists leads a vibrant service followed by the message. Discovery Kidz meets simultaneously, with an additional online children's video posted at 9:30. Wednesday programming begins at 7 p.m.; middle- and high-school students may join youth group on Zoom at 5 or in person at 7 for games, teaching, discussion, and prayer. The church describes itself as multiethnic, multigenerational, and multilingual—living proof of a loving God.

Its Pentecostal roots reach to 1921, when young people from Methodist and Baptist churches encountered the Holy Spirit through San Jose revival meetings. The resulting congregation first worshiped in a cherry packing shed in 1922 as Highway Pentecostal Mission, later becoming Sunnyvale First Assembly of God and eventually Sunnyvale International Church. The present mission is to honor God, train Christlike disciples, reach the world, and serve neighbors. Teaching includes salvation through Christ, water baptism by immersion, Communion, baptism in the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, and lifelong sanctification. Students can also serve under supervision in children's and technology ministries, connecting weekly formation with leadership experience.
