United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks

About this church

United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks is a community seeking to follow Jesus by loving, growing, and serving. Its welcome emphasizes God’s mercy for all people and invites participation through worship, study, prayer, music, children’s and youth formation, community service, and shared meals. The congregation’s Sunday service combines traditional worship with fresh treatments of familiar hymns and varied musical styles rather than separating those elements into multiple services.

Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary and typically lasts about one hour. Children age five through fifth grade begin with their families, share a dedicated children’s time, and then leave for Bible-based KidsChurch grounded in Methodist faith. Youth gathers at 11:30 after worship. The Sunday choir rehearses Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again Sunday at 9:00 before leading the 10:00 service. Current homepage posts may feature one-time youth-led worship or meals, so those dated events should not be mistaken for a permanent change to the recurring hour. Visitors can attend in person or online, and households using KidsChurch should arrive early enough to identify classrooms before everyone begins together in the sanctuary.
