St Mary's Catholic Church

About this church

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in downtown Aspen celebrates an anticipated Mass Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday Mass at 7:30 and 10:00 a.m. A Sunday 5:30 p.m. Mass is added during ski season, and a Spanish Mass is published for the first Saturday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Weekday Mass meets Monday at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday at 8:00 a.m. Confession is available before the Saturday and Monday evening Masses, thirty minutes before the 10:00 Sunday Mass, and after Tuesday-through-Thursday morning Mass by approaching the confessional.

Monday Adoration runs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. During the school year, Family Faith Formation brings children and parents together on Wednesday evenings, beginning with Adoration and Benediction before children’s classrooms and adult small groups. Youth offerings include faith formation for fifth through eighth grades, high-school worship and service, and regional events. The parish traces its Aspen mission to priests assigned from Gunnison in 1881 and 1882, making it part of the city’s early religious history. Because ski-season worship, Spanish Mass, and weekday exceptions can change, visitors should consult the current homepage and bulletin. The church is at 533 East Main Street.
