Vallecito Church

About this church

Vallecito Church in Bayfield, organized in 1971 as Vallecito Baptist Church, holds Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. on County Road 501 in the Vallecito valley. In summer, services meet outdoors under a tent as weather allows, a practice kept since the church's earliest days, and worship moves indoors when the weather turns cold in the fall. Kids Church runs for children during the worship hour, and a Sunday morning Bible study meets at 9 a.m. The Lord's Supper is observed on the third Sunday of each month, and the church states its mission as encouraging, equipping, and evangelizing the people of the valley.

On Wednesdays, a women's Bible study meets at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall and a co-ed Bible study gathers at 6 p.m. Men meet for breakfast on the first Saturday of the month, and a potluck follows worship on the second Sunday. The church also lists small groups, children's programs, Vacation Bible School, a food pantry, Operation Christmas Child, and meals for members who are ill or recovering. First-time guests receive a welcome guide and can fill out a Next Step card with contact details or prayer requests. Services are posted on the church's YouTube channel, and a mobile app offers a calendar, sermon notes, and giving. Schedules can shift with the seasons, so confirm times on the website before visiting.
