About this church
Christ Lutheran Church in Denver's Cole neighborhood worships in English Sunday at 10 a.m. and Spanish at 11:30. Services are casual but structured, with printed bulletins, hymns, prayer, Scripture, Word and Sacrament, and a dedicated portion for children. There is no dress code. The congregation publishes recent sermons in both languages, allowing visitors to preview the worship and teaching before arriving. Its historic building was remodeled with a new sanctuary, fellowship hall, and kitchen, with the renovated church home opening in summer 2014.
Christ Lutheran belongs to the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Its ministry is grounded in God's grace, summarized as “Our sin, His love,” and seeks to share the Gospel across Denver's diverse community. The bilingual congregation offers additional Bible studies, Sunday School, cook-offs, and family holiday events, although those programs follow separate announcements rather than a single recurring hour on the overview. English- and Spanish-speaking guests should select the service matching their language rather than assuming simultaneous interpretation. Families can keep children in the main liturgy for the published child-focused segment. Anyone interested in Sunday School or an adult activity should consult the event calendar, since the official weekly page establishes worship times but not every accompanying program.
