Calvary Church

About this church

Calvary Church follows a summer Communion schedule at 1320 Arapahoe Street in downtown Golden. A traditional service meets in the Historic Chapel at 5 p.m. Saturday and again at 8 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday. The 9:30 Sunday service in the Great Hall uses a contemporary style and includes a short Bible Time for children ages three through third grade during the sermon. The church warns that its schedule may change in fall, so visitors traveling after August should consult the current worship page.

The Historic Chapel stands at 13th and Arapahoe, while the Great Hall entrance is on 14th Street. Calvary provides free worship parking in its own structure without registration; nearby streets, city lots, and Colorado School of Mines areas provide other weekend options. Professional nursery care for newborns through age three and a half is available during the 9:30 and 11:15 services. Calvary Kids and adult formation meet from 10:45 to 11:45, immediately after contemporary worship, and the children’s program uses play, stories, crafts, games, and music. The congregation organizes its wider life around relationships with Christ, one another, and neighbors, linking worship and formation with fellowship, civic engagement, and outreach. Families can therefore combine the 9:30 service with an age-specific class hour, while visitors preferring traditional worship have three separate chapel choices.
