La Junta United Methodist Church

About this church

La Junta United Methodist Church publishes in-person Sunday worship at 11 a.m. at 601 San Juan Avenue. Its homepage separately lists the radio broadcast on 92.1 FM and Facebook Live at 10:30, which may indicate that online and broadcast coverage begins before the sanctuary service. Because those two official notices do not use the same start time, remote viewers and first-time guests should confirm the current week's arrangement rather than assume the platforms and room begin together.

The congregation describes itself as a United Methodist community shaped by worship, learning, fellowship, and service. Adult study opportunities include a Tuesday evening group at 6 and a Wednesday study at 11 a.m., with topics changing across the year. A potluck on the first Sunday of the month provides an informal way to meet people beyond the worship hour. Music ministry includes chancel choir, handbells, instrumental participation, and other seasonal offerings, allowing people with different abilities to contribute. Sunday School and small groups support ongoing biblical learning and relationships, while online service recordings help newcomers sample preaching and worship. For a first visit, use 11 a.m. as the church's published in-person time; for radio or Facebook, note the separate 10:30 listing and check the latest homepage announcement.
