Lamar Christian Church

About this church

Lamar Christian Church in Lamar has two Sunday morning services: a blended service at 8 a.m. and a contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. A worship team leads a mix of contemporary and traditional music, and a typical service lasts about 70 minutes. Visitors are invited to stay afterward to meet people. Sunday school for all ages meets between the two services, from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Times can change, so check the website before visiting.

A staffed nursery for babies and toddlers is open during both services. Grade-school children have Children's Church during the sermon at the 10:30 a.m. service. From September through April, KGS Kids meets on Wednesday evenings with worship, devotions and games for grade schoolers. Middle schoolers meet on Wednesday evenings. High schoolers meet on Sunday evenings and also have a Monday night Bible study. Both age groups have their own Sunday morning classes. Adults can join the Adult Fellowship Class or a women's class on Sunday mornings or a Wednesday group, and the church also has men's and women's ministries. In summer, the church holds Vacation Bible School and sends kids to Camp Como. Baptism sign-ups are online. Worship is available online, and the church also uses a church app, a Facebook group and a YouTube channel. The church phone is (719) 336-5343.
