Church of the Holy Spirit

About this church

Church of the Holy Spirit offers Saturday Mass at 8:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.; Sunday follows at 7:30 and 9:30 a.m., then 11:30 a.m., at 403 Scofieldtown Road in Stamford. The earliest Sunday Mass has no music, the 9:30 includes Latin chant, and the 11:30 uses English hymns. Weekday Mass is listed at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday Eucharistic Adoration and Confession run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday Confession is offered from 4:15 to 5.

Faith formation extends from preschool through Confirmation and is presented as an ongoing path of discipleship rather than only preparation for a sacrament. Parish family life includes Mommy & Me for adults and young children, a young mothers group, coffee gatherings, and youth activities. Stamford Catholic Youth Groups welcome middle- and high-school students from every Catholic parish and school in the city, combining faith talks or activities with prayer, games, and community. Adults can join Bible studies, discussion groups, prayer communities, men's and women's gatherings, or liturgical ministries. Because the morning Masses use noticeably different musical settings, visitors can select a Sunday hour based on worship style as well as timing.
