Church of the Apostles

About this church

Church of the Apostles is an Anglican congregation meeting on Main Street in Trumbull at 10 a.m. Sunday, in person and online. The service follows an ancient Christian rhythm through Scripture, preaching, congregational responses, hymns, newer songs, open prayer, and Holy Communion, ordinarily concluding by 11:45. Dress is unrestricted, and food and fellowship follow worship indoors or outside when weather permits. The church summarizes its identity through Scripture, Sacrament, and Spirit: biblical authority, worship shaped by global Anglican tradition, and dependence on the Holy Spirit to form people who love neighbors and use their gifts for others.

Children are understood as active members of the church's present mission. They join portions of the main liturgy, receive Communion or a blessing, learn Anglican practices, and use the Gospel Project to trace the story of redemption from Genesis through Revelation. Youth ministry extends that formation into adolescence. Mission partners serve survivors of human trafficking, incarcerated people, households facing hunger or homelessness, people recovering from addiction, and university students in Bridgeport. These partnerships show how the congregation connects sacramental worship with public mercy. A newcomer can download the order of service or watch online first, then stay after the 10 a.m. gathering to meet people over food.
