Sycamore Hill Church is a self-governing Baptist congregation in Hockessin, Delaware. It began in 1982 as Hockessin Baptist Church when several families purchased a vacant school building, later adopting the Sycamore Hill name as it expanded its regional ministry. The church understands membership as a covenant among baptized believers and is led by pastors with congregational support from elders, deacons, and members. Its mission connects worship and Bible teaching with disciple-making, children’s and youth formation, local service, and partnerships supporting recovery, collegiate ministry, youth development, pregnancy support, and people experiencing homelessness.

Worship and teaching meet Sundays at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. at 505 School House Road. Adult and young-adult studies run during the first service; youth Sunday School and additional adult groups meet at 10:30. Nursery and children’s classes are available at both hours, though first- through fourth-graders start the 9:00 service with their families before dismissal, and summer Kid’s Church pauses. Every child through sixth grade must check in at a lobby kiosk and wear the issued name tag. Dress ranges from flip-flops to business casual. First-time families can ask lobby volunteers for check-in and classroom help.
