First Presbyterian Church of Auburndale

About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Auburndale worships Sundays at 11:00 a.m., with a typical service lasting about one hour. Its style is classic and traditional: an usher provides a detailed order of worship, congregants sing hymns accompanied by organ or piano, and a chancel choir contributes to the music. Nursery care is provided during worship. Communion is served in the pews on the first Sunday of each month, and the church publishes an open invitation to the table for people who sincerely affirm the faith described on its visitor page.

Coffee and a small snack follow worship downstairs in Fellowship Hall, creating an easy opportunity for newcomers to meet people without a required commitment. Visitors are not expected to contribute during the offering. The church’s community food pantry operates Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; it reports serving more than 1,600 households per month. Other mission partnerships and hands-on ministries include Beth-El, Cedarkirk, Thornwell Children’s Home, baby blankets, and healing shawls. First Presbyterian is at 410 Pilaklakaha Avenue and describes itself as a small-town church with a big heart.
