Gully Springs Baptist Church

About this church

In Bonifay, Gully Springs Baptist Church sets the Sunday School hour at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 10:45, followed by an evening Bible study at 6. Wednesday doors open at 5:30 p.m., the meal is served from 5:45 to 6:15, and classes and Bible study run from 6:30 to 7:30. Upward Journey serves children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Its Sunday class uses guided Bible reading and creative activities at the Sunday School hour; Wednesday adds themed studies and hands-on projects, with the midweek meal available beforehand and children's plates listed as free.

The congregation summarizes its purpose in three movements: reach people who are lost, teach disciples, and elevate the name of Jesus. Its public beliefs cover historic Christian teaching about God, Scripture, humanity, salvation in Christ, the church, and resurrection. The children's program describes Jesus as the foundation and God's direction as the guide for everyday life. The connection form covers questions about Jesus and baptism, plus volunteering, membership, and small groups. Someone planning a full Sunday can move from education into worship and return for evening study, while a Wednesday family should distinguish the meal window from the 6:30 class start. Parents can use the same published Upward Journey age range on Sunday and Wednesday.
