St. Michael's Catholic Church

About this church

St. Michael's Catholic Church in Fernandina Beach celebrates a Saturday Vigil at 5 p.m. and Sunday Mass at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and noon, with a livestream available through the parish site. Daily Mass is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. and Tuesday at 6 p.m. Confession is Tuesday from 5 to 5:30 and Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30, or by appointment. Eucharistic Adoration extends from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month and from 9 to 9:30 on the remaining Thursdays.

The parish presents the seven Catholic sacraments as encounters with Christ that confer grace, strengthen believers, and build the Church: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony. Its weekly bulletin is the most current source for liturgy changes, ministry opportunities, parish news, and volunteering, while the calendar carries retreats and formation courses with separate registration. St. Michael's Academy is part of the broader parish environment but has its own school information. A first-time worshiper can choose among four weekend liturgies; people combining Tuesday confession and Mass have a thirty-minute interval. First-Thursday visitors should distinguish the extended Adoration schedule from the much shorter period on other Thursdays.
