St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

About this church

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is an Anglo-Catholic parish in Fort Myers and the oldest congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida, founded in 1885. Its worship draws on the beauty, reverence, sacraments, and prayer of the Anglican Catholic tradition. Scripture study, music, service, pastoral ministry, and community life accompany a parish mission centered on Christ’s saving love.

Adult Bible study begins Sunday at 9:00 a.m., followed by Solemn High Mass at 10:00. A Wednesday Unction Mass begins at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Sunday worship follows a formal Anglo-Catholic pattern rather than an informal contemporary service, with liturgy, sacred tradition, communal prayer, and Holy Eucharist at its center. The church publishes recent sermons and a dated events calendar so visitors can hear its teaching and check seasonal observances before arriving. Public pages do not specify Mass duration, dress, parking, accessibility, nursery or children’s programming, child check-in, secure pickup, volunteer screening, livestream availability, coffee hour, or detailed Communion guidance for visitors. Because the parish uses the term “Solemn High Mass,” newcomers unfamiliar with Anglo-Catholic worship may find the worship page particularly helpful before a first visit.
