River Cross Church

About this church

River Cross Church currently advertises Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. at 5100 SW 91st Terrace in Gainesville. The approximately hour-long service uses a band for contemporary music at a congregation-friendly volume, followed by teaching through a book of the Bible. Casual clothing is normal, free coffee is available beforehand, and guests are neither singled out nor expected to give. Sermons can be previewed on YouTube or Facebook.

Kids Creek serves nursery through fifth grade in the building beside the worship hall, using secure digital check-in, background-checked volunteers, age groups, video, crafts, teachers, and even a recreation-time bounce house. However, the children’s and FAQ pages still say Kids Creek is available at an 11:00 service, while the current homepage publishes 10:30 worship. Families should confirm the children’s start time before relying on it. Students meet Sundays at 5:30 p.m. at “the Hall” for teaching, games, food, and relationships with adult and college-age leaders. This is a useful choice for someone seeking informal, contemporary worship and straightforward Bible teaching; arriving early allows time for coffee and, once the schedule is confirmed, first-time children’s registration.
