Assumption Catholic Church

About this church

Assumption Catholic Church is a Jacksonville parish of the Diocese of St. Augustine with a full daily and weekend sacramental schedule. Saturday includes 8 a.m. Mass and a 4 p.m. vigil; Sunday Mass is at 8 and 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. in Burmese, and 5 p.m. Weekday Mass meets at 6:30 and 8 a.m. Monday through Friday. Reconciliation is offered Saturday from 2:30 to 3:45 and Sunday from 9 to 9:55 a.m. Perpetual Adoration is available weekdays around the clock and Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., using an access-card system.

The main church is temporarily closed for Restore & Renew construction. During summer, English daily, Saturday-vigil, and Sunday Masses meet in the school gym; during the school year, weekday and Saturday-morning Masses use Kohls Hall while weekend Masses remain in the gym. Soft-soled shoes are requested to protect the gym floor. The Burmese Sunday Mass has moved separately to Little Acres until renovation is complete. Parish life includes a Catholic school and early-learning center, OCIA, religious education, children’s liturgy, youth and young adults, Scouts, grief support, hospital care, charity outreach, marriage, wellness, music, and many liturgical ministries. Because the standing Mass page does not encode temporary rooms, visitors should check construction notices and the current bulletin before arrival.
