About this church

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Melbourne Beach is a Roman Catholic parish set between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon and served by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. The Saturday vigil Mass is at 4:30 p.m., and Sunday Masses are at 9 and 11 a.m., with an added 7:30 a.m. Sunday Mass during the winter season, from early January through Palm Sunday. Weekday Mass is celebrated Monday through Friday at 8 a.m., and confessions are heard Saturday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. Holy days of obligation are marked with an evening vigil Mass and a mid-morning Mass.

Children in kindergarten through eighth grade can enroll in religious education, which also prepares students for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation; the program begins each fall. Adults can explore the faith through RCIA and adult formation offerings that include Bible study and teaching on Catholic doctrine. Parish life includes a music ministry, altar servers, lectors, an altar linens group, a Women's Guild, a ministry to the sick, and a consolation ministry that supports families at funerals. Outreach partners include Genesis House of Melbourne and the South Brevard Sharing Center. Seasonal events have included a Blessing of the Animals and an Advent cantata with a living nativity. The church is at 3780 S. Highway A1A; confirm Mass and confession times on the parish website before visiting.
