Orlando Mar Thoma Church

About this church

Orlando Mar Thoma Church is an Oviedo parish of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church, joining an ancient Eastern Christian heritage with reformed biblical teaching and life in Central Florida. Worship uses both English and Malayalam, and parish organizations include Sunday School, youth fellowship, choir, women’s fellowship, young families, senior fellowship, and mission activity. The congregation purchased its present church in 2011 and consecrated it in 2012; its Sunday School was formally registered in 2013 and choir organized in 2019.

Sunday worship begins at 10:00 a.m. Holy Communion is ordinarily celebrated in English on the first Sunday of the month and in Malayalam on the third, while other Sundays follow the parish’s published liturgical schedule. Because language and sacramental form vary by date, visitors should identify which Sunday they plan to attend rather than assume every 10:00 service is identical. The church’s history pages explain the Mar Thoma tradition and the Orlando parish’s development, while youth and choir pages show ways to participate beyond worship. Guests unfamiliar with Malayalam can target the first-Sunday English Communion service, though English is also part of the parish’s wider life.
